Learning

Sharing our experiences with God and each other.

Studying the Word

Lutherans share with other Christians the foundational understanding that: The Bible is the Word of God and through it, God's Sprit speaks to us to sustain Christian faith and fellowship for service the world. The Bible shapes our lives individually and together as the church of Christ.

By speaking and hearing the words printed in the Bible, Christ is made alive for us. It guides our thinking about matters of faith and life.

From the youngest to the not so young, we love to open the Bible, study the scriptures, hear the testament of those who have gone before us, and share our experiences of God in our lives.

Join us on Wednesday evenings for a fellowship meal at 6:00 and then Bible Study at 6:45. We gather around the table in community and are transformed by the Word. We are filled with grace and set free to serve the world.

Praying for those who need God's care

Prayers change lives, both ours and the people we pray for. Each week, a dedicated group gathers to lift up the needs of our members, our community, and our world at large. Some weeks, the list is long.

When we gather, we light a candle, open the Psalms, and ask the Holy Spirit to reach deep into the prayers we lift. It's a powerful and life changing time.

Confirmation

The youth of our congregation are critically important to us. As a congregation, we promised during their baptism to share with them our experiences with God and how God comes to us in the Water and the Word, the Bread and the Wine.

Our middle school youth gather on Wednesday evenings for a three year confirmation program, exploring their faith in a loving and nurturing environment.

Our youth also serve during worship as acolytes and ushers, communion assistants and greeters. We love holding Youth Sunday, a day when the youth lead us in praising God - what a powerful experience!

They also reach out into the community beyond the doors of our building, learning how to serve and share their faith. You might find them in the garden or gathering supplies to support the CO-OP. We love our youth!
